When Irresistible Me* asked me if I'd like to try out their top quality Royal Remy hair extensions, at first I was a bit dubious. I have extremely thick hair naturally, and it's fair to say that hair extensions have a bit of a bad reputation what with all the photos of people with dodgy hair! That said, after a recent haircut, my hair was starting to look and feel way too thin for my liking. I usually get it thinned out, but this time it felt much thinner than usually! I've always wanted long and luscious locks, so I figured now would be the perfect time to try out extensions for the first time, and I can happily say my opinion on hair extensions has changed for the better.
Irresistible Me hair extensions are made with 100% human hair, which means they can be curled, straightened and even dyed. On their website, you have the ability to choose the length, colour and weight. I opted for the shade medium brown, as it looked like the closest match to my hair colour. When they arrived however I noticed that they're actually a teeny bit lighter, but that doesn't bother me as the ends of my hair are lighter than the rest, after a failed ombré job! When choosing the length, you measure from your ears down- mine is around 15 inches, so I opted for the 20 inch extensions to add a good bit of length, but nothing too long. Lastly, I was recommended the 200g option, as it comes with 10 wefts of hair and I can simply apply as many or as few as I need. In the pictures below, I'm only wearing 5 pieces!
At first, I'll admit I found the sensation of wearing extensions a bit odd. They did feel a bit heavy, but I soon realised that applying less pieces took that unnecessary weight away. The extensions are super easy to apply- you just clip them in and out! In these images, I used my curling wand on them and as you can see, they hold a curl beautifully. I also found that they blended in with my own hair better when curled, but I have yet to wear them straight. When they first arrived, there was a slight synthetic scent off them, from the treating and dying of the hair I presume, but after some wear it faded. Quality wise, the hair is super strong and smooth, and probably in better condition than my own hair!
